Professor Ramakrishnan demonstrated DIEP Flap reconstruction to over 50 plastic surgeons in San Sebastian.

Professor Ramakrishnan gave a talk on the efficient raising of a DIEP flap at the London Breast Meeting. He commented: “This annual meeting has become very important in the exchange of ideas and training of young surgeons.

Professor Ramakrishnan was an invited speaker at the World Society for Reconstructive Medicine, held in Seoul, South Korea. He spoke on efficiency in microsurgical breast reconstruction.

Mr Ramakrishnan was a guest lecturer at the symposium in Hull, where he spoke on state of the art surgical techniques in reconstruction for women who have suffered from breast cancer.

Mr Ramakrishnan was one of just two British speakers invited to give a lecture at the annual American meeting. His lecture was titled ‘How to do the fastest DIEP’.

Mr Ramakrishnan attended this prestigious conference as a guest speaker, delivering lectures on ‘Alternatives to the DIEP Flap’ and ‘Efficiency in Microsurgical Breast Reconstruction.’

Mr Ramakrishnan delivered the 2017 Gillies Lecture at the British Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (BAPRAS) Winter Meeting. The lecture, named after Sir Harold Gillies, the father of plastic surgery, is one of the two most prestigious orations in the plastic surgical community.

Mr. Ramakrishnan was ranked amongst the surgeons which other consultants would most likely refer loved ones too, in an article published this morning in the Daily Mail. Over 260 consultant surgeons were interviewed, with Mr. Ramakrishnan ranked amongst the top twenty by his peers.
